Does Toyota Still Make A Manual Transmission Camry

Toyota Motor Corporation uses many different transmissions in their products. They can be divided into different families.

  • Jan 16, 2019 Well first because the Wrangler is all-new for 2018. And second because a manual transmission adds an extra dimension of fun to 4X4s. Creeping up and over boulders with a manual transmission is challenging and requires just the right shift timing, throttle, and clutch work.
  • Love the camry's, only oil changes, tires and batteries. Occasionally brakes. These cars can go and go without major issues and they hold up their value. My 2003 had 213k miles and they still gave me $3500 on the trade in. If only toyota would restyle the camry, i would trade it in now. Might have to hold out for the 2018 and hope for a better design.
  • Previously the Corolla iM, the new 2020 Corolla HB is ready for action. Find a new Corolla hatchback at a Toyota dealership near you, or build and price your own Corolla HB online today from the official 2020 Toyota Corolla HB site.
  • Oct 26, 2016  With that being said, a majority of vehicles have deleted the manual transmission from the spec sheet, leaving few options for drivers who desire that level of control and performance. Toyota-brand aficionados will find six Toyota models that still offer a manual transmission.

Twelve months taken off a significant overhaul that gave this sedan sportier looks and more standard features, the 2019 Toyota Camry remains a crowd favorite in a shrinking segment. Toyota Camry owners have reported 17 problems related to manual transmission (under the power train category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Toyota Camry based on all problems reported for the Camry.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry 1

I own a 2007 Toyota Camry with a manual transmission and when only had around 500 miles on the vehicle the clutch started sticking and the dealer tried to act as if I didn't know what I was talking about until they tested it and it happened to them. A new clutch was then put in and I didn't have any problems until now. I now have 31000 miles on the vehicle and today as I was leaving out of the parking space at work the clutch stuck and I had to put the car in neutral and apply the emergency brake and wait until the clutch popped up. I was then able to drive home without any problems but 1 st thing on Monday I will have it at the dealer. What I want to know is, have any similar problems been reported? if not then mine is the first and this should be checked into.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry 2

Toyota Camry ce manual transmission. When car is in first gear driving about 10-15mph and pedal is released car accelerates on its own then, even after pedal is released, then when brake is applied the car jerks back and fourth. This mostly occurs when car is first turned on. Dealership says, and I quote 'it is normal and makes me feel like I don't know how to drive a stick shift' due to the jerking.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2008 Toyota Camry 3

Purchased a new 2008 Toyota solara from coleman Toyota in bethesda, MD. On 1/19/08. From day 1, transmission is jerky, hesitates, has not power when needed. Car stalls when waiting to turn and floods. Took it back to the dealer 2x.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry 4

I have a 2007 4cyl Toyota Camry and on occasion it will hesitate when accelerating. Generally occurs only when moving at very slow rate of speed and accelerate to pull quickly into traffic. Have returned to dealer at least 3 times. They say it is 'normal' and can not get it to happen so cannot fix. They have applied TSB but did not seem to correct. Quit asking for repair but now see issues with sticking accelerator and wonder if this is another Toyota cover up!!.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry 5

I own a 2007 Camry and it has a terrible hesitation with the engine that stalls alot especially pulling on interstates with fast moving traffic. It also has the same issues with normal driving in town. This is a huge issue and I do not feel safe driving this vehicle that I am paying a good bit of money for. I feel I can't sell it knowing it has a problem and the trade in value is terrible. Toyota needs to recall all these cars and fix the issue or give the consumers there money back.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2006 Toyota Camry 6

My 2006 Toyota Camry se is experiencing throttle & shift lag. I've tried merging into traffic only to have my vehicle not respond. The crazy revving from the vehicle not shifting correctly is also causing a substantial decrease in fuel economy (from 24 mpg to 18 mpg). Toyota has no fix at this time.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2004 Toyota Camry 7

Contact states: manual transmission, going 50 mph with no power. Speed drops and there is no acceleration. Last a couple of seconds anywhere 10 to 30 seconds it picks back up. Noticed about a week ago. Normal drive happening anytime. Haven't noticed it before 50 mph. Speed drops but hasn't changed speed with accelerator with still applying pressure on accelerator. Noticed this happening for about a week.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2004 Toyota Camry 8

My 2004 Camry, v6 has had a hesitation since I first purchased it. The hesitation happens after stopping a signs or when trying to accelerate to merge into traffic. Twice I have taken it to the dealer and was told it was something with the brain that sends information from throttle sensor to the transmission. The service tech stated that it was just the v6's and the 2004 cars that have this problem, until more people complain no repairs or recalls will be made.
